Heat emitters using smart technology to keep commercial and social spaces comfortable and fresh.
Air handling units are good choices where underfloor heating is not a design option and where wall space is at a premium. These units blow the warmed air either from floor level in the case of recessed units or from above, as air curtains. They are thermostatically controlled by onboard microprocessors and this ensures that once set up, the units will feed heat into the space as and when required. This responsive system means a comfortable temperature is maintained whilst delivering economic savings and carbon reduction.
Fan-assisted radiators are generally smaller than their conventional counterparts. Like air-handling units, they also have onboard thermostats and microprocessors, which mean they provide a responsive service to the space they are heating. Some units are designed to work with the passive cooling function of a reversible heat pump, thus ensuring even temperatures are maintained in the building during both the winter and summer months.
The fan system and onboard microprocessor enables the programming of a desired level of heating; meaning a room can be heated up to 9 times faster than using conventional radiators and a greater amount of control can be exercised to keep the room comfortable.
For use in schools, offices and other intensely used spaces where ventilation may be an issue, Econic can provide fan-assisted radiators which monitor the CO2 levels. When the levels rise, the microprocessor in the radiator pulls in fresh air and warms it, so raising the oxygen levels and productivity, without compromising the temperature within the space.
