Installing renewable energy technologies requires a high level of understanding. Whilst specialist training is essential nothing beats hands on experience. Our engineers come from a variety of backgrounds and have worked on a wide range of both traditional and innovative projects. It is this resource that ensures not only the competent delivery of our own projects but is also available to support other installers and clients who require troubleshooting.

Project Management

Comprehensive installations of renewable energy technologies, which are often integrated with traditional systems, require a significant level of project management expertise. Econic has the experience and skill set to provide management for small to large size projects, managing both our own installation engineers and the plethora of specialist sub-contractors that are often required.

Competencies and Training

Econic's ethos is to ensure that all our personnel receive training appropriate to their existing skill set and also to explore further career development opportunities. Their working practice involves moving from one part of an installation to another, which therefore means they understand the wider implications of design and implementation. It is embedded within the company that installations are carried out in an efficient, safe and timely manner.

Our site staff have diverse but relevant backgrounds which enables them to undertake many of the specialist tasks found within renewable technologies. We then encourage them to undertake additional training, both theoretical and practical to further develop their skill set. The broad understanding of the entire installation which this gives them enables efficient, co-operative working both within the team and the context of the wider site. For example, one day they might be laying insulation for underfloor heating and the next fusion welding a 70 borehole ground energy array.

Health and Safety

As a company, Econic holds the healthy and safety of it's employees, subcontractors, clients and end users as paramount. We comply with and attempt to exceed current Health and Safety legislation. While Econic has an excellent Health and Safety record, we recognise that this is not an area for complacency, and are striving towards continual improvement in our working practices.

Criminal Records Bureau

Econic performs thorough checks of all of our on site staff on an annual basis. These checks are of particular importance when working on sites such as schools and colleges, or sites where they are likely to encounter vulnerable individuals. This is an area where Econic has particular expertise and some sites can be seen in our Case Study section, but there are several others that we are not allowed to disclose due to the sensitivity of the site in question
